Drops of oil

Become a little better one drop at a time…

Fifth Sunday on the Mosel

Today was a special Sunday here in Germany, and I am grateful that the 9-Euro ticket was prepared for this time to make it possible for me to come to church more easily in Koblenz.

You can’t tell from the picture, but I was on a fancy two floor train!

This morning, on the way to church, I had a 40 minute stopover during the which I was able to play my clarinet at the bus station and that was fun! I made it to church at the exact same time as the first members were arriving, and that was a miracle. At church I was able to see my friends, Jonatan, Eddie, and Arvin again, and that was a great blessing. We also had the opportunity to hear people testify of Jesus Christ and the love He has for us. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the first Sunday of every month is a special service where during the first hour those in the congregation have the opportunity to come up and testify of the Savior and that is a very special experience. I also had the opportunity to participate in a lesson where we talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or in other words, His teachings and His way to help us grow and progress by following Him. It was nice to hear other people’s experiences about how they have seen the Lord’s hand in their lives helping them overcome things like smoking, and it was nice to be reminded that God’s words are sure and true and that we can rely on them. We can have hope in Christ because His promises are true and they will continue being true forever! If we will follow the Savior, he will lead us to all righteousness!

After church I was blessed to go to a special lunch hosted by some new friends, Björn and Camilla, and there I ate with them and some more friends, Marvin, Tense, and Johanna. It was a wonderful evening and we all got back home safely!

Step 1: Cook the burgers 🍔 , bacon 🥓 , and onions 🧅.
Step 2: Add the cheese 🧀
Result: Deliciousness 😋!
