Become a little better one drop at a time…

Quest 2

These past few days I have been thinking about what I am needing to improve in with my relationship with God, and what I feel would be good to work on this month is strengthening my faith in Jesus Christ. There is a lot that has been written and said about faith in Jesus Christ, so I am excited to dive into this topic this month. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment on my page or on the social media platform you receive my posts on.

Today during my studies, I was reading in the Book of Mormon in Alma where there was a lot of war in the land. The chapters around Alma 50 focus on Captain Moroni who was the military leader for the people of Nephi. Moroni is very special because besides being a great strategist, he also had a resilient faith in Jesus Christ and in His power of deliverance. In Alma 55, Moroni used a tactic where he was able to free all of his citizens that had been taken as prisoners of war without anyone dying on either side. The Lamanites, the group that was attacking Moroni’s people, surrendered because of the tactic Moroni was inspired to use. When the Lamanites tried to use the same tactic on Moroni’s men, the scriptures say this: “But behold, the Nephites were not slow to remember the Lord their God in this their time of affliction. They could not be taken in their snares.” I believe we can have this same promise as we turn to the Lord often and regularly, we too can avoid the snares placed in our path. As we nurture our trust in Jesus Christ, we can have His strength to be with us!

To kick off our month of learning about Faith in Jesus Christ, there is a great opportunity tomorrow and Sunday to hear messages from servants of God, Prophets and Apostles of Jesus Christ, and hearing and applying their messages is a powerful way to strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ! I hope you can tune in!
