The Holy Ghost teaches us about Jesus Christ

Today I had the opportunity to share some thoughts with instantinstitute, and as I was preparing I felt inspiration come as I studied the scriptures. One of the main roles of the Holy Ghost is to testify of and teach us about Jesus Christ. We can turn to the Holy Ghost for guidance as we are looking for truth and wanting to find ways to grow closer to Jesus Christ.

Here are the verses I talked about during the live feed and some extra thoughts I did not have time to share. I hope you enjoy:

Sharing the Gospel – Exodus 12: 4

This reminds me of the opportunity we have to share Christ with others. We can speak of Christ and prophesy of Christ with our friends and family so they can also have safety and peace in moments of uncertainty like the Israelites were experiencing at that moment.

When we repent, the Lord calls us to His work – Exodus 12: 31

Just like Alma taught his son Corianton, when we repent we can get back on track and start serving God. Serving God is one of the greatest sources of joy and is how we can learn to become more like our Heavenly Parents. The Savior is ready to guide us and wants us to serve Him, imperfections and all.

We have been bought by Christ, and He helps purify us – Exodus 12: 44

The Apostle Paul taught this principle, and it is amazing that through Christ we have the opportunity to make and keep covenants. The Israelites were God’s chosen people, and He made covenants with them, but the Israelites’ servants could also make these covenants because they became part of the Israelites. Jesus paid the price of our sins, and if we follow Him, we can become joint heirs with Him of all the blessings our Heavenly Parents want to give us.
