Today I was blessed to spend my fourth day with my cousin and her family in Idaho and it was a day full of enjoying bread, making beans and rice, dusting, and painting. They are a sweet and hardworking family and I am impressed with their patience and efforts to do their best. Watching their two little kids run around and interacting with them has reinforced my knowledge that parenting is a challenge and it has helped me think about my relationship with my Heavenly Father and the patience he has with me as I grow and develop in this life. Our Heavenly Father meets us where we are at just like my cousin and her husband do with their kids as they strive to meet their three and one year old where they are at, whether that be making pureed food so the baby can eat it or making up games to help the three-year-old brush his teeth or take a shower. Our Heavenly Father teaches us day by day, He sends angels to minister to us in our trials, He hears our prayers, and gives us daily support and strength. He can see past our mistakes and our outbursts or tantrums, and He always is ready to forgive us as we trust in His son and repent. Our Heavenly Father loves us, and as we strive to love Him and trust in Him, we will be alright and be able to face whatever challenges come our way!
