Hello everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful day today! These past few days here in Germany have been relaxing and uplifting. I have listened to many inspiring speeches as I have worked throughout the day, and I have also had opportunities to say good morning to the people in the neighborhood. The workers at the bakery and the local grocery store see me quite often and they kindly greet me when I come into their stores. I feel like I can order bread pretty well now!

In my recent scripture study I was reading in the end of Helaman and the beginning of Third Nephi in the Book of Mormon. I was touched by the hope created and the miracles brought to pass by the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ. The people in the Americas were facing great challenges at the time, and they were worried about their situation, but they held fast to their faith and watched steadfastly for the word of the Lord to be fulfilled. Nephi, a prophet of the Lord at that time, was also very sorrowful about the situation, and I found it wonderful that in the middle of feeling sorrowful, he chose to turn to his Heavenly Father in prayer for relief. And he did receive relief and so can we when we turn to our Heavenly Father in prayer. He is the source of true peace and joy, a peace and joy that if we hold onto can never be taken away from us. Smile, Jesus Christ lives!
