Today I had the special opportunity to visit one of my cousin’s and her husband to read the scriptures with them. We started with a prayer and read a chapter in the Book of Mormon (2 Nephi 29) where a prophet was prophesying about how some people would forget that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and that they would forget that one of the ways God shows His love for us is by continuously revealing His truths or counsel to us to help us return to live with Him again. Everything Heavenly Father does is motivated by the deep love He has for all of us. He sent His son to prepare a way for us to live with Him again, and He calls prophets and apostles today to help point us to Christ and overcome the stumbling blocks and distractions that are strewn throughout the world. How merciful is our God that He is willing to continue giving us more of His words so that we can have the spiritual nourishment to survive and become healed and whole through our Savior Jesus Christ!
