Hello everyone, these past two days on the Mosel have been very special! It has been nice to adventure with the Geary’s again and also spend some time with Heide and her family! On Monday we explored a little bit of Cochem and then we got to eat dinner together with Heide, Ramona, Anita, and Ralf. It was super fun and I was able to ask a waiter to take a picture of us with the help of everyone present. Anita actually asked first, but then they gave me the opportunity to ask again! It was very kind of them to help me and have patience with me!

After our meal together, I went on a lovely walk with Sister Geary where we saw the cutest ducks along the way. There were many of them and we even saw some deer on the hills and some more ducks flying overhead. There was also a couple walking their cats which was a little funny, but cute as well! It was nice to relax and walk in nature!

Today I had another opportunity to be in nature with Sister Geary and her son Hayden! We actually went on the same path I had tried to go on last Monday, except the difference this time was that I had company! During our hike we saw some amazing plant life like wild raspberries beginning to bloom and wild strawberries and I even found some blue spiderwebs which were kind of creepy! We did walk a little extra when we did not follow the signs, but overall it was a gorgeous hike and we found our way back home safely.

It is interesting how the experience I had on the hike was different today than it was on Monday of last week. While I was hiking I was thinking that the difference in large part was due to the fact that I was walking with someone that had taken this path before and knew where they were going. Our mortal experience, or this earthly experience is new for each of us, and it can be scary especially when we don’t know which way to go, or if we have stumbled and fallen during our walk, or when we feel alone. However, we need not fear or walk alone, our Savior Jesus Christ has walked this path before us and He knows the way. In fact, He is the way, and He will be with us along with the Holy Ghost as we pray unto the Father in His name and strive to keep His commandments. We need only stay on the path, it is well marked and there are helps put into place to help us overcome challenges.
During our hike someone had put in handrails to help hikers be able to get past some slippery rocks that we had to get over.

There was also a path that disconnected from the main path and went along the edge of the cliff face. It seemed to offer a neat view, but it was also dangerously close to the edge of the cliff.

At the end of the main path we were also met with a spectacular view, but we were able to appreciate it safely on solid ground.

If we follow the Savior, He will lead us on solid ground and we will be able to enjoy all of the blessings our Heavenly Father has to offer us! He shows us the way back home, and if we will follow the markers He has prepared for us, even if we take a wrong turn here or there, we will be able to make it back to Him safely!
